Who We Are
Citizens Action Group began in response to the proposed Menards on Medina Line. We are a group of residents and neighbors in Granger Township and surrounding communities committed to building community, holding local government accountable to the people, and promoting responsible stewardship of the land. We believe that the sanctity of people's homes and health of the environment must be prioritized in any form of development.
Activities
Holding Trustees and Menards Accountable
Since 2019 we, as the residents of Granger and surrounding communities, have opposed the Menards development called "The Market At Medina Line." Our opposition stems from a variety of reasons, including the filling of wetland, destruction of rural farm land, increased flooding to neighboring homes, decreased property values, increased pollution, a lack of cost-benefit analysis, strain on public safety and road, and ethical concerns with how the zoning of the land has been conducted.
Community Building and Education
We are finding ways to bring the community together to celebrate our relationships to each other and with the land and to learn together how both can be strengthened.
